Attorney James D. Corbo, in addition to his criminal defense experience, has extensive experience representing children and teenagers charged with crimes in the Massachusetts Juvenile Court.  Upon graduating Suffolk University Law School in 1997, Attorney Corbo applied for and was one of six applicants out of one hundred to receive a full-time judicial clerkship with the justices of the statewide Massachusetts Juvenile Court.  Attorney Corbo, under the supervision of the justices, researched and drafted judicial opinions on juvenile law issues, including delinquency and youthful offender law.  Attorney Corbo assisted justices in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Plymouth, Worcester and Hampden Counties.  He also assisted in drafting chapters of the Massachusetts Juvenile Court Benchbook.

Attorney James D. Corbo began representing young people in juvenile proceedings in 2000 in Essex County.  In 2002, he moved his practice to Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and began representing young people in the Boston Juvenile Court, Dorchester Juvenile Court, and since 2004, in the Quincy Juvenile Court and the Dedham Juvenile Court.  Attorney Corbo is certified by the Massachusetts Committee for Public Counsel Services to representing young people charged with delinquency offenses.  Attorney Corbo proudly accepts court appointments in the Massachusetts Juvenile Court and as a result, he has gained extensive experience in the area of juvenile law.  In 2004, Attorney Corbo became certified to handle Youthful Offender matters in juvenile court.  Youthful Offender cases involve the most serious charges in the Massachusetts Juvenile Court, including firearm possession, assault with intent to murder, armed robbery, and sex offenses.
