Attorney Corbo's 10 Years of Criminal Defense Experience
Attorney Corbo began his career as a criminal defense attorney as a third-year law student in the Suffolk University Law School Defenders Clinic defending indigent persons at the Somerville District Court in 1996.  Upon graduation in May of 1997, he received a judicial clerkship position with the Massachusetts Juvenile Court, where he assisted judges in legal writing and drafting of judicial opinions in delinquency and youthful offender cases.  As an associate at a small law firm after his clerkship, he handled a significant criminal caseload and was responsible for significant research and writing projects.  He "cut his teeth" in his practice as a bar advocate in Suffolk County, representing hundreds of individuals in Roxbury and Dorchester District Courts and the Dorchester and Boston Juvenile Courts.  In addition to motion and jury trial experience, he also has handled over ten criminal appeals.

Attorney Corbo's criminal defense practice is centered on client advocacy and trial skills.  From the initial arraignment through pretrial hearings, motions, and trial, Attorney Corbo zealously represents his clients in all stages of the proceedings.  In 2004, Attorney Corbo was awarded a full-scholarship to attend the renowned
National Criminal Defense College in Macon, Georgia, for a two-week trial skills training by taught nationally known criminal defense attorneys.

Attorney Corbo is committed to the delivery of top criminal defense to the poor and he is on the board of directors of
Suffolk Lawyers for Justice, the Suffolk County program that administers private bar indigent defense attorneys for the Massachusetts Committee for Public Counsel Services

Attorney Corbo has presented hundreds of individuals in criminal proceedings, including evidentiary motions to suppress, motions to dismiss, probation surrender hearings, jury-waived trials and jury trials.
