Consultations and Fees
Free Initial Consultations
Attorney James D. Corbo offers free initial consultations at the Braintree office for up to one hour. A free consultation consists of a review of the legal issues presented and a proposal for services and fees. Representation of a client does not begin until a legal fee agreement is signed. All free consultations are confidential and covered by the attorney-client privilege.
Flat Fee for Services
Attorney James D. Corbo charge a flat fee for most criminal and juvenile defense matters, and for some family law and education matters. A flat fee is a dollar amount that the client and the attorney agree on before the attorney begins work. A flat fee identifies an amount of work that the case will require and calculates a reasonable fee based on the time and effort involved. A fee cannot be quoted without a complete consultation with the client in order to determine what the case will involve.
The flat fee is agreed-upon and can never change, no matter how many times you need or want to speak with me, no matter how much case preparation is necessary, and no matter how many court appearances may be required to get the best result for your case.
Hourly Rate
For some criminal and juvenile matters, and for family law and education law matters, Attorney James D. Corbo charges an hourly rate. A retainer must be paid prior to work commencing and the retainer fee is placed in the client funds account. Charges are drawn from the client funds account as work is periodically completed, with notification to the client prior to the withdrawal of funds, in accordance with Massachusetts client funds accounts rules.
Attorney James D. Corbo accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards for the convenience of his clients.
