Attorney at Law

James D. Corbo is a Massachusetts criminal defense, juvenile law, and education attorney with over 10 years of experience successfully defending the rights of the accused and advocating for children.
I decided to go to law school because I wanted to make a difference in people's lives.  14 years after starting law school, and 11 years after graduating and passing the bar exam, I am proud to say that my law practice allows me that opportunity everyday.

Massachusetts Criminal Defense            Juvenile Law                          Education Law

Welcome to my website.  My law practice concentrates on the zealous representation of adults and children accused of crimes and  the effective educational advocacy for children and teens.  My office is located immediately after the Braintree split at Route 93 and Route 3 and is easily accessibly by MBTA bus or train.

I frequently appear in the courts of Norfolk and Suffolk County and I serve all courts in eastern Massachusetts.   I have represented clients successfully in matters ranging from assault and battery and drug distribution to aggravated rape and kidnapping.  I have an active jury trial practice and I have successfully handled several criminal appeals.

I approach every case the same:  conduct complete and thorough interview with my client with consistent and effective communication throughout the entire presentation, complete a full investigation into all of the allegations, aggressive and effective representation at all court hearings, extensive legal research and writing, jury trial preparation, and when needed, sentencing advocacy.  I start every case with an analysis of what the prosecutor must prove at a jury trial, what the defenses are, and I then work my way backwards, rather than "what can we get for a plea deal."  I attend several continuing legal education programs in the area of criminal law, juvenile law, and education law every year and I constantly try to improve my skills and my practice.  I find that my approach helps me win difficult jury trials and helps me obtain favorable pleas on the appropriate charges for my clients when trial preparation and investigation shows that a plea is the client's best option.

I work with a several investigators, experts, mental health and substance abuse counselors, and other related professionals to assist my clients.

I hope to be able to help you with your matter and to work to achieve the best result for you.
